BlueTack Typography

My initials in an American Typwriter style font made from a mix of blue tack and white tack.

Chocolate Typography

Looks horrible,..................................................Tastes nice.

Stationary Typography 2

I chose certain desk objects that are shaped like letters and other basic ones to create my name. Then applied some ephemera brushes after adjusting the black and white levels in photoshop.
I like the way that this image has come together and the fact that it is so easy to make.

Stationary Typography

Using whatever stationary I could find, I set out some bits and pieces to roughly form my initials. I then applied a cut out filter to the photograph in photoshop to give it a sharp, 'cut up' effect.

Foam Typography

I thought it would be fun to waste a load of shaving foam writing something on our enormous mirror. So I did. Had to be quick with the camera though because it started racing down to the bottom.

Inverted Sugar

I took the previous photo of the sugar into photoshop, Desaturated it, Inverted it and altered the Levels to make it look like a printed typewriter font. The extra spots take away the effect but you still wouldn't think it was sugar.

Sugar Typography

Text made from sugar, pretty easy to do using a small piece of paper to shape it. I think that adding the serifs make it look a lot better, giving it a grainy typewriter look.

Cotton Bud Typography

Cotton buds are really easy to shape and create letters from. It's looks a bit boring but I like the simplicity of the design.

Hotpoint Ad Typography

This page of a magazine advertising hotpoint dishwashers immediately drew my attention. The leftover food or fat is used to create each word on each surface. And it's real.

Slow Shutter Typography

The best way I have ever wrote my name. I just set my camera shutter to slow and while it was taking the picture I waved a torch to create the letters in my name.

Ice Typography

What else can you do with ice cubes in October? The glass chopping board underneath them works well too as it looks like ice.

Hot Chilis Typography

HOT HOT !! There wasn't enough red ones in the pack so I had to use a green one on the H. I think it looks good and the stem things on the ends give it a kind of serif style. Now I just have to eat them...

My Name On Keyboard

Not perfect because getting the angle and blur on the letters right was hard, but I'm pleased the idea.

Typography Eye

Quick attempt at making something relating to typography on photoshop using a few different fonts, I tried to get it to look like an eye with the P's & Y's symmetrical. Don't ask me why the T is red, I like it though.

Typography Photos

A collage of photos we took around town showing the different types of industrial typography. Most of them are company names and logos but we also took pictures of other objects such as signs, lights and tiles that are shaped like letters and can be used within typography designs.

Alex Gopher Typography

I really like this video as everything in it is made from what they actually are, in words. it drags on a bit but is very clever and looks awesome.

Citizen Cope Typography

The best song typography I have seen. The way the words are created joins perfectly with the music, the only thing i don't like about it is the plain background, i think they should include the band at some point playing along.

There Will Be Blood Typography

My favourite typography video from a top film scene. I think the gothic font should be changed as in some parts its hard to read but i suppose it shows the anger in his voice. The milkshake part is very clever and also very funny.
